If your organization is driven by ambition and an eagerness to unlock its full potential, The EMOTIVE Lab is here to guide you on this transformative journey.

The EMOTIVE Lab has helped numerous leaders achieve their goals through mindful and emotionally aware leadership programs. We believe that leaders who specialize in empathy, interpersonal dynamics, conflict management, and diversity & cross-cultural communication can lead their teams to self-discovery, fostering a culture of understanding and connection.

We provide experiential and reflective learning through group and individual experiences. Our methods support self-awareness, authentic presence, and conscious dialogue. To facilitate transformation, we offer leadership retreats and training, webinars, and 1:1 coaching.

Dr. Lisa O. Alvarez

the founder

Lisa Obianuju Alvarez (she, hers) is a leadership coach, group facilitator, and organizational consultant with ten years of experience helping organizations and leaders realize their fullest potential. She is recognized for her thoughtful approach to problem-solving and co-creating authentic settings for learning, experimenting, and collaboration. Her specialty is creating work environments where individuals, teams, and organizations can transform and engage in performance breakthroughs.

Her journey began with curiosity and concern. She wondered how leaders could become more in tune with their employees and the environment they were leading in. She was worried about the psychological impact of leading from a place of scarcity and fear. Through ongoing personal development, training, and coaching, Lisa absorbed the wisdom of organizational development experts and eventually felt inspired to create her own space of intention and knowledge. She gained clarity about her professional focus: creating workshops where leaders or employees in prominent positions could reestablish connections with themselves and others, using this homecoming to inspire their teams.

Lisa is currently passionate about designing and leading transformational workshops that focus on being present rather than perfect. She finds fulfillment in empowering individuals and teams to show up as their best selves by creating a community of truth through reflection, somatic exercises, dialogue, and group bonding.

Lisa holds a BA in psychology, an MA in counseling psychology, a PsyD in organizational development, and a recent certification from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in interpersonal dynamics.

Our approach

At The EMOTIVE Lab, we're here to help you thrive even during times of change. We collaborate to co-create an empowering space where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions, guiding you to untapped potential. Our journey together is honest, non-judgmental, and focused on growth as we tackle challenges head-on.

We value ...

Authenticity: At The EMOTIVE Lab, we believe it is not our job to use our workshops to create mini versions of ourselves, we can achieve great results by treating you as scholars—experts of your own condition. Our main function is to help you learn new, creative ways of working to achieve your business results.

Empathy: The EMOTIVE Lab acknowledges the uniqueness of your organizational culture and the influence it has on your present condition. We do not try to alter this narrative or critique your situation. Rather, we enter your reality and observe through your lens. To this end, we are able to perceive, listen and learn, inspiring us to lead workshops that are uniquely transformational.

Freedom: We encourage your self-reliance and therefore develop ways for your organization to sustain its own course of action.

Peace: The people are the heart of your organization and in chaos (change, disruption, etc.), there is an increased risk of employee dissatisfaction and decrease in well-being. We assist you in developing a balanced state that remains superior to disarray.
